Cliff House by Taber c1880
The Cliff House and Ocean Beach were two of the most fashionable attractions for the City’s elite from the late 1850s to the early 1900s. First accessible only by carriage, popularity increased with the opening of a cable railway. Recreation activities included swimming, picnics and horse racing. Produced from original Albumen print in collection of artist - if you are interested in acquiring the original, let me know.
